May nang-aagaw na po ng ice cream ko. Huhu. Tig-isa na tayo sa susunod. Lol. She loved Sebastian's rose and dark chocolate ice cream. Naubusan na po si Mommy. #toddlernarratives
My wild child is ready to take on the world, barefoot and all. #toddlernarratives
Today's splurge in the Sunday market was the asparagus. Tried to make a pretty plate for the little one, but she only wanted the egg whites. She's an adventurous eater, but sometimes, she eats what she eats. Lol. #toddlerfood #toddlernarratives

Thanks Grandma for the toy cabinet. We will never have a truly Montessori play area, we love colors too much. But we tried editing her toys as much as we can, sticking to sturdy toys that she loves. We let her choose her toys at the toy store whenever we feel that she's ready for a new one. We wanted to avoid plastic toys but it is not possible in this case, so we make sure that if its plastic, its at least good quality ones. The mega blocks and duplos are sturdy and helps develop critical thinking and fine motor skills. My Mom kept some of my nice toys and passed them on, like the boat with animals and kitchen stuff, both of which are tupperware and are still nice. The wooden toys are really nice--stacking boxes and irregular blocks from hape, fruits chopping set and alphabet blocks from discover imagination. There are no battery-operated ones, there's plenty of time for that when she's older and really wants one, but that day is not today. I hope we'd be able to keep the toys under control, that's hard work so far, culling toys that I felt are inappropriate or are too much. She has a birthday coming up soon enough, maybe a wishlist is again in order? Lol. #toddlertoys #toddlernarratives
22 months. Our little one is 22 months old, I don't know where the time went. I grabbed these photos from playschool a few days ago and showed some to her. I realized that not only can she name herself in photos, she can also identify her classmates by name as well. Amazing. We didn't even teach her that. Well, to be honest, we don't really "teach" her anything, not in the formal sense of the word. We agree with the philosophy of learning through play, so we try our best to let her experience the world and play as much as she can. That's how children learn best, it seems to work just great for her. As her teacher already told us, she loves the arts and crafts area and she does not shy away from different colors and textures. She's very active and playful, which means we are exhausted most of the time, but it is so worth it watching her thrive. 2 months aways from her second birthday and we are rendered breathless most days. #toddlernarratives
