Lighter side, on random coffee, cakes and cookies

DanteThinking about too much stuff just makes you hungry and sleepy sometimes. When conference food just isn’t enough, there are times that you just step out and see what else is out there. Dante Coffee Shop is fair. After the National Human Rights Museum tour, there is just that desperate need for coffee. We have not eaten for six hours.

DSC02364Conference cakes could be really nice and pretty though. If you catch it. This is a gold-dusted Tiramisu and it was divine.

DSC02363Cookies kept me alive and sane while I was waiting for my turn in the conference. Again, absolutely divine.

DSC02372I just kept on munching on the conference cookies.

DSC02385And when thirst hits you, you have to swim with the dolphins. Several foreigners and I was at a lost looking for water. It took as a while to figure out that it was in these boxes.

DSC02371You really just have to swim with the dolphins.

And when things are really much too much, there is a Starbucks a block away. Soy caramel macchiato anyone?

And perhaps a pastry?

Due to the lack of time or the constant rush for it, I never got to buy a bread from this bakery. And it just looks so yummy from the outside! Oh well… And more coffee and cakes stories to come. Seriously. This is just day three.

Mommy mode with Team Leia. Lol. Daughter decided to bury me under her friends. They're all mine now. #babynarratives
Finally made some fluffy pancakes! Yay! They are not photogenic, but so fluffy and yummy. Recipe still needs some tweaking but we are getting there. Too bad we don't have some butter coz we keep on forgetting to buy some. This is more of a protein pancake as I used garbanzo and fava flour. We're trying to up the little one's protein intake without giving her too much meat, so we look into plant-based proteins. Here I used garbanzo and fava flour, milk, eggs, muscovado sugar, salt, aaaaand baking soda! It was what I needed all this time to make my pancakes fluff up. Yum yum! Home-cooked stuff are really the best. #babyfood #babynarratives
Snapshots from the play place. She found some toy screw drivers that she just wouldn't let go. She also loved the ball pit and the treasure chest. Glad she managed to play even around much bigger and rowdier kids. #babyplay #babynarratives
We've been exploring a new play place. More difficult on the weekend due to so many kids and she's usually one of the tiniest one there. But looks like our little one had fun still. Socializing or at least getting used to being around other children is so important at this stage. #babyplay #babynarratives
Hello? I'm 14 months old and I want to order some pizza, fries, and cookies. Just kidding... Or am I? Lol. So cute. She's been walking around with my purse and waving. Too bad I just can't get a photo of it. She's in a copy cat stage, she even tried putting my slippers on and walking! I think its a tad early for all of this. Time just flew by sooo fast. #babynarratives
Walang pila kaya nakapag-milk tea. Tapos yung inorder ko wala daw palang tea, gatas lang. Lol. Mommy milk or boba milk? #milktea #teatime
